Emily is our licensed esthetician and makeup artist. She has been at Tangle Me Knot since the salon opened, starting at the front desk and training up — she graduated with honours and was inducted into the National Honor Society in 2024.
What she is known for is the diagnostic side: matching treatment to your actual skin type, condition and concerns rather than running the same facial on everyone, and sending you home with a routine you will realistically follow.
Treatments
Classic Microdermabrasion. Mechanical exfoliation that lifts dull surface cells. Improves texture and tone, and helps everything applied afterwards absorb better.
Dermaplane Facial. A specialised blade removes dead skin and vellus hair. Skin looks immediately brighter and makeup sits noticeably smoother. Popular before events.
Deluxe Hydro with Microderm. Deep hydration combined with exfoliation, for skin that is both dull and dehydrated.
EMS Facial. Electric Muscle Stimulation — micro-current work used for tone and lift.
Electroporation Facial. Controlled electrical pulses drive active ingredients deeper than topical application reaches alone.
Makeup Application. Event, bridal and special occasion. Emily and Jessica both work in makeup.

How often?
Most people do well every four to six weeks, which tracks the skin's renewal cycle. [CONFIRM]
Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker?
No. That is vellus hair and it grows back exactly as it was. The myth is persistent and untrue.
Can I have a facial and my hair done in the same visit?
Yes, and it is a good use of a long colour appointment. Mention it at booking so the timing works.
Should I book before a wedding or event?
Yes — but not the day before. Two weeks out for exfoliating treatments, so skin has time to settle.
Do you do makeup for events?
Yes, including bridal. Book a trial before the day.
