Colour correction is fixing colour that went wrong — or undoing years of colour that accumulated in ways nobody planned.
It is the most technical work in this industry. Every head is different because every head has a different history: what was applied, when, over what, and how the hair responded. There is no formula. There is diagnosis.
Our stylists are Schwarzkopf Professional certified, and correction is a significant share of what walks through our door. Clients drive from Brandon, Riverview and further because this work is hard to find done well.
Please read this part
Correction often takes more than one session. Hair can only be safely processed so far in a day. Trying to do it all at once is how hair breaks. If your correction needs two or three visits across several weeks, we will tell you that at the consultation, along with the full plan and the full cost.
We cannot quote you over the phone. Anyone who does is guessing. We need to see and touch your hair, and know its history.
Sometimes the honest answer involves cutting. If hair is compromised past what colour can fix, we will say so. We would rather lose the booking than damage your hair.
Bring photos. What you want, and what happened. Both help.
Who it’s for
- Box dye, including the black-box-dye situations everyone dreads
- Brassy or orange tones after lightening
- Banding — visible horizontal stripes from repeated root touch-ups
- Uneven or patchy highlights
- Colour that is too dark and will not lift
- Green or blue casts from chlorine or over-toning
- Grown-out colour you want blended rather than chased
Who it isn’t for
We’d rather tell you now than halfway through.
- Hair already compromised past what colour can fix If integrity is gone, more chemistry makes it worse. We will tell you, and we will talk about a cutting plan instead.
- Anyone needing it finished today Correction is paced deliberately across sessions to protect your hair. Rushing it is how hair breaks.
- Anyone who wants a phone quote We will not give one. It would be a guess, and guesses on correction are expensive for both of us.

Before & after
Aftercare
- Sulfate-free, colour-safe products only
- Cool water when washing
- Wash less often than feels natural — dry shampoo between
- Heat protectant every time
- UV protection; Florida sun pulls colour fast
- Never go back to box dye — it undoes the correction and makes the next one harder
Questions
How much will it cost?
Not answerable without seeing your hair. The consultation is free and produces a written quote before anything begins.
Can you fix it in one appointment?
Sometimes. Often not. We will tell you honestly at consultation — and if someone promises one session sight unseen, be careful.
Will my hair be damaged?
Correction is demanding. We use bond-building treatments throughout and pace the work across sessions specifically to protect integrity. If we think the risk is too high, we say so.
I used box dye. Will you judge me?
No. Roughly half the corrections we do started in a box. Just tell us exactly what you used and when — accuracy matters more than embarrassment.
Can I go from black to blonde?
Sometimes, over multiple sessions, depending on your hair’s condition. It is the most demanding correction there is. Come in and let us assess.
Let’s talk about your hair first
Consultations are free and always come before the service. You’ll leave knowing the plan, the timing, and the cost.
