Balayage & Highlights in Apollo Beach, FL
Hand-painted dimension that grows out softly, instead of leaving a line you have to chase.
-
Time in the chair2.5–4 hours depending on length and lift [CONFIRM]
-
MaintenanceEvery 10–14 weeks, with a toner refresh between [CONFIRM]
Balayage is painted freehand rather than packed into foils, so the lightening starts soft at the root and builds toward the ends. It grows out gradually. Foil highlights place lift precisely and evenly, which suits some hair better — particularly fine hair, or anyone wanting brightness right up at the root.
Most heads want some of both. That is what the consultation is for.
We are Schwarzkopf Professional certified, and colour is the deepest bench in this salon: Jackie is a Master Colorist specialising in colour melting and custom formulation, Angelica spent decades in New York working in highlights and balayage, and Jessica works in multi-tonal dimensional colour.
Who it’s for
- Anyone tired of a hard regrowth line every six weeks
- Sun-lightened dimension without sitting in the sun
- Grey blending that does not read as covered
- Fine hair needing the appearance of depth and movement
- Anyone stretching time between appointments
Who it isn’t for
We’d rather tell you now than halfway through.
- Anyone wanting dark to very light in one session That is a lightening plan across multiple visits, not a highlight appointment.
- Heavily box-dyed hair Painting over built-up box colour gives patchy, unpredictable lift. That is a correction first.
- Anyone who will not tone Blonde in Florida goes warm. Toning is maintenance, not an upsell.

- Book your toner refresh before the brass arrives, not after
Questions
What is the actual difference between balayage and highlights?
Balayage is painted by hand and grows out softly. Foils place lift precisely and evenly and can go brighter at the root. Many appointments use both.
How long before it needs doing again?
Balayage stretches to 10 to 14 weeks because there is no hard line. A toner refresh in between keeps it from going warm.
Will it damage my hair?
Lightening is chemistry, so it is demanding by definition. We use bond-building treatments throughout and pace the lift rather than forcing it.
My blonde always goes brassy. Why?
Usually Florida sun, hard water and toner wearing off on schedule. It is manageable — mostly through product choice and a refresh interval matched to your water and your habits.
Can you do this on dark hair?
Yes, though the darker the base the more sessions it takes to reach a clean light end. We will map that out at consultation.
Can I bring a photo?
Please do. Bring more than one, including something you dislike — knowing what to avoid is as useful as knowing what to aim for.
